Born in 1941, Myrna grew up in the southeast corner of Saskatchewan in a small town she says doesn't exist anymore. Regina seems to be home now, as her adult life has brought her here and back three times! She spent most of her working years as an RN but had her career cut short by health struggles with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and osteoporosis. She says that one of her current challenges continues to be some of the side effects she feels from her collection of medications. A kind soul, Myrna has taken up the "hobby" of nominating non-profit organizations and volunteers for awards and honours that she learns of. She sees it as her way of encouraging those who are helping others! Myrna made three gift requests, all related to her health struggles. Two of them are items she's never actually used; she's just learned of them and is hopeful they might provide added relief to her body.

Born in 1987, Ryan has spent his entire life in Regina. Enjoys having his family nearby and being part of several sports circles in the city. Beyond athletics, Ryan enjoys watching movies and eating Chinese food. :-) He feels that he possesses a number of skills that equip him for a life of blessing others, and he commented on his current desire to become a better father. He is also striving in the future to purchase a car and a larger home.

Audrey was born in Duck Lake, SK, in 1957. She moved to Regina in 1986. In her free time, Audrey enjoys sewing quilts, beading, reading, and going for walks. Audrey expressed a real sense of blessing in her life. She perceives God providing her strength to adequately manage every challenge that comes her way. She dreams that one day she might still enter university, and a trip to Israel is on her bucket list!

Lawrence was born in Regina in 2007 and his close to his grandmother Audrey, whose story is also featured on this list. He loves to play with Lego, and is a talented athlete and game-player. He aspires to be an exceptional athlete in the future.

Lillian was born in 1967 and grew up in the community of Kamsack. She moved to Regina with an eye to more opportunity and family members who lives here as well. She loves singing and puzzles, and she considers herself a skilled hand worker, particularly in carpentry. Lily and currently is striving to set proper and healthy boundaries in her life and to chart a course toward further education.

Dwayne grew up in the country near Kelvington. He is 39 years old. Dwayne moved to Regina 3 years ago to be closer to his family. Dwayne loves helping others and likes volunteering. He enjoys art and being creative, especially drawing. One of his challenges as well as a goal is simply to stay out of trouble and learn to do good in the community. Adam recounts growing up at the residential school in Marieval. He is now 31 years old. He moved to Regina when he was 18 to get away from the reserve and felt there was more opportunity here. He loves reading and video games. He enjoys cooking and has his safe-food education. He’s working towards getting more organized so that he can go back to school.

Corey grew up in Regina and loves getting out and excercising. Corey loves biking and working out. Corey is 41 years old with upcoming plans to enter a treatment program for alcohol. Corey’s Wish List: medium snowsuit, backpack and cell phone

Nina is an interesting and fun-loving 12-year-old. She spent her early life in Manitoba but moved back to Regina with her Mom once her mom gave up drinking. Nina feels that life is awesome and is very excited for her future. Nina is both musical and active; she plays bass clarinet, saxophone and the trumpet. She also loves boxing. Nina’s imagination is varied in that she dreams of being both an animal vet and a professional gamer!

Robert is 46 and lives in Regina. Robert loves to give of himself to help others. He enjoys sports, movies, drawing, and hiking. He said that he loves any activity that makes him feel part of a community with others. Two of his current challenges are finding a new job and affording bus tickets.

Born in Regina in 2001, John enjoys his school and his friends here in the city. He loves to play baseball and hockey, and to cheer on the Dallas Stars. He takes both pride and pleasure in his athletic abilities, and dreams that he might one day reach the NHL.

Devin grew up in the Cathedral neighborhood of Regina, with his mom and three sisters. He currently devotes himself to his construction job and has future aspirations to train as a welder.

Garry grew up in Lancer, SK. He moved to Regina in 1989, in search of a better life. He is a man easily satisfied, who is enjoying his current season of life. As a hobby, he takes pleasure in tinkering with cars. Garry expressed no pressing needs but figured to request a gift card in case he or someone around him had a pressing need arise.

Born in 1972, Donovan has spent his entire life in Regina. He considers it a great place to live. One of his key circles of friends involves a group interested in powwow dancing. Donovan also takes pleasure in hockey and football in movies about Jesus. He loves to draw and works to maintain his language skills in Cree. Donovan is currently challenged to find steady work, but he aims to always be helpful and generous toward others, hoping that his life might direct other people toward God.

Jareth grew up right here in Regina and continues to enjoy the outdoor activities, festivals, and hockey programming of our community. He enjoys sports (particularly floor hockey), dancing, and video games. Currently employed as a dishwasher, he has also worked in snow removal and demolition. For the moment, his goal is simply to be a good employee and to do well at his job. He also hopes to see his kids more in the future.

George has lived the vast majority of his life in Regina and has long been connected with the folks at the Good News Chapel. He spends free time reading and watching TV; he then quietly confessed that he enjoys video games too. :-) He described his skills as a marksman and his love of hunting, from when he was a boy. His wish for the future is to faithfully walk with the Lord.

Len was born in Regina in 1959 and has lived here his entire life – a true Regina boy! He is skilled with renovations and maintenance, and has worked portion of his life as a hot tar roofer. Land is a refreshing change to our tech-heavy age, in that he still prefers to have great letters to his loved ones. In his spare time, he likes to shoot pool, draw, and read his Bible. He noted that his current challenges in life are trying to guide well his children and grandchildren, and to manage his growing list of aches and pains. Len hopes the coming years contain good health, steady work, and blessed spiritual walk with the Lord.

Blake was born in Regina in 1982. Even today, he enjoys this city is home, partly because of its size and the ease of getting around. Blake finds pleasure in music, cooking, and growing plants. He also described himself as a "people person", one who enjoys visiting with others. That said, Blake attributes some of his current stress from abuse and mistreatment from others. He also shared about mental health problems that have required medication. His hopes for the future involve the restoration of his health, years enjoyed with his family, and opportunity to impact other people's lives.

Marsha grew up on the Pasqua First Nation reserve but has lived in Regina on and off through the years. She finds pleasure in helping people and in doing yard work, and she spends much of her time volunteering. She lists her most pressing need is developing a life that is clean and sober, toward the goal of being with her children again and entering work programs. She also mentioned growing involvement in her church as one of her future goals. Her gift requests may seem small, but she sees them as helpful and practical choices.

Born in 1972, Orrin loves Regina -- there's nowhere else he'd rather live! He describes music and drawing as his main interests and hobbies. He is currently pushing himself to break free of his smoking habit, and he has future plans to host or lead a Bible study with his circle of friends.

Michael is 42 years old. He moved to Regina from Saskatoon to be near family. He is a positive person who loves almost everything, especially sports and the Calgary Flames. He enjoys construction work. Michael wants to live a healthier life, to be free of struggles with alcohol and drugs. He wants to grow stronger in the Lord and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Most of Michael's requests are tied to furnishings and household items.

Frankie grew up in Regina and loves to volunteer here. She is 30 years old. Her interests are recycling and house cleaning. Her goal this year is to go back to school. Frankie wants to improve her life and give back to the community.

Aaliyah is still in high school and grew up in Regina. Of all the things to love about Regina, she enjoys the winters! Some of her interests are video games and beatboxing (making musical sounds with her mouth). After graduation she would like to pursue nursing as a career. She loves to laugh and enjoys trying new things. Her Christmas Wish List: headphones, a blue penny board (it’s a smaller type of skateboard) and an M & M album

Valerie has lived all of her 43 years in Regina and loves everything here. Valerie attended both Scott and Balfour High Schools. One of her interests is Native Art. She is skilled in tiling and has roofed. She is working on overcoming her different addictions; alcohol and drugs and gambling. Valerie is hoping for a new home with better living conditions as well as improved health. Her heart is one of her main concerns.

Ben grew up in Regina and has many family and friends here. One of his many favorite things about living here is the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Ben is 36 years old and loves going for walks and movies. He enjoys native art and drawing. Ben is working on overcoming his addictions, and he has hopes of finishing school and starting a career in one of the many trades that are happening in Regina. He has a joyful spirit and is very positive. Ben's gift requests are for him and his two sons. Jason is 42 years old and grew up in Regina, still living close to his family. Jason loves Bible studies, hanging out, and listening to music. Jason likes to be busy and is very involved in church, always willing to help. Jason dropped out of school and got lost in addictions, but the Lord transformed his life and he is now free from those addictions and growing stronger in the Lord everyday. Jason is working, but is looking for full-time work.

Paula was born in Kamsack but moved to Regina when her Dad passed away in 2000. She loves reading crime novels and powwow dancing. Paula is a young mother who is working to get her life in order so that her 4 kids -- whom she loves more than anything -- can return home from foster care.

Elaine grew up in Prince Albert and moved to Regina a little over 10 years ago. She is now 38 years old. Some of Elaine’s interests are helping others and volunteer work. One of Elaine’s many talents is hockey.

Lindsay is 35 years old. He moved to Regina when he was 13 years old to live with his sister. He loves his work here. Lindsay is creative and enjoys many native arts including beading and drawing, which his family taught him. His present challenges are mostly financial, but he is really looking forward to spending time with his family this Christmas. Lindsay’s Christmas Wish List: warm footwear sz. 10, a black bunnyhug

Robert is 45 and grew up in the Toronto area. He moved to Regina because he saw the opportunities here. Robert enjoys being active with hockey and football; he also used to spend much time on martial arts. Currently, Robert is facing significant challenges after a diagnosis of Hepatitis B. His biggest hope this Christmas is to visit his family.

Charity is 33 and has always lived in North Central Regina. Charity likes to spend her free time sewing, cooking, drawing, reading, and playing the bass. Current she is facing the challenges finishing school and getting her children home for Christmas.

Martin is 53 and grew up in Ontario. He moved to Regina to get married. Martin’s interests include reading Christian literature, drawing, and music (both listening and creating). Martin is finding job-hunting discouraging at present – his lack of education and lack of a driver’s license are limiting his options more than he’d realized. He persists in his search and is hopeful to find work soon.

William is a warm-hearted model husband. Originating from Buffalo Narrows, SK, his career as a journeyman carpenter brought his family and him to Regina in 1998. He is an interesting, colourful individual who has given his life to his career, a wide range of athletics, and most importantly, showing love and support to his wife and descendants. He sacrificed his career to provide care to his wife, who due to complications with diabetes, has been bound to a wheelchair.

Iva is a caring single mother who has devoted her life to taking care of her son and daughter. Having grown up on the Piapot First Nations Reserve, she moved to Regina in 1957 to attend Sacred Heart Academy. In her younger years, she had committed herself to a career as a caregiver. Unfortunately, as a result of her back problems which have impaired her mobility, she is unable to continue in this field of work. She has now completely dedicated her life to her two children. This serves as a further testament to her warm, caring spirit. She enjoys viewing realistic sitcoms, most notably, The Golden Girls. This Christmas season, she is in need of various towels and sheets.

John grew up in Swift Current, but moved to Regina when his dad was transferred here for work. John says that he finds the city interesting, and enjoys living here. John is interested in hockey and football, and enjoys volunteering at the Indian Metis Christian Fellowship, where he can apply his skills as a volunteer administrator. John also enjoys making beadwork, and is skilled in doing mechanical repairs. John says life is "pretty good" right now, and he is excitedly making preparations for his upcoming wedding. John requests winter boots for Christmas (size 8.5), along with black or grey (but not white) socks, and a Montreal Canadians winter coat (size large). He would also appreciate a Walmart gift card.

Renae grew up in Rocanville, but moved to Regina because of jobs opportunities in the city. Renae enjoys wrestling, and like to offer her time as a volunteer. She also enjoys singing and swimming, and is talented at both. Currently, Renae is face with the challenge of having to find a new job. In the future, Renae hopes to get her son back, and to be married. Renae would love a Calgary Flames winter coat for Christmas (women's 2XL), as well as DC, Element, or Airwalk "skater" shoes (size 9.5, black - not white). She would also like ankle socks, and a Virgin Mobile phone card.

Heather has spent her whole life in Regina and was a student at Campbell Collegiate. She enjoys bowling and meeting friends for coffee. She claims her friends would describe her as a good listener. Her boyfriend has piqued her interest in participating in Special Olympics in the future, and she sees this as a good opportunity to exercise more. Heather loves children and is often participated in day care and babysitting work. She hopes to join a program called "Campus For All", at U of R, to take courses that might expand her career options for the future.

Born in 1987, Mitchell grew up in North Battleford before his family located to Regina in 1999. His three older siblings still live here in the city. Mitchell is a busy fellow, participating in classes at "Campus for All" At U of R, working part-time at Conexus Arts Center, and spending time with his daughter. He is a percussionist who used to participate in youth bands and orchestras as well. Mitchell currently faces the challenge of watching his young daughter live with relatives, apart from him, and he hopes one day to have a job with special needs children in the school system.

Born in Saskatoon in 1971, Anthony moved to Regina in 2000 to escape an unhealthy relationship. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, guitar, and video games. He feels that he possesses some musical skill and derives pleasure from that hobby. He says that his desires for the future are fairly simple, and he just wishes to live a life of happiness -- a gardening job may factor into his future goals. He's currently challenged by life in a poorly heated and windowless apartment.

Les has lived in Regina his entire life, since his birth in 1960. He possesses skills for refinishing (stripping and waxing) floors. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, reading, and watching movies. He is currently striving to recover from some injuries and to develop a life of sobriety. He envisions a future with steady and reliable work.

Helen was born in Regina in 1983 and finds this to be a friendly city in which to live. She enjoys the everyday tasks of cooking and cleaning, and she sees herself as a woman capable of multitasking, creativity, and patience. If you don't believe her, you can ask one of her nine children! Not surprisingly, Helen describes her current challenges as a lack of income and a struggle to purchase enough groceries for her household.

Born in 2002, Nathaniel has spent most of his life in Regina with his family. He enjoys sports, time on the farm, and cleaning. He has a knack for working well with other people, a trait that should surely serve him well all through his life. He says that some of his current challenges revolve around trying to discern the place that culture and traditions might play in his present and future days, and he hopes that both church and family will play major parts in his future.

Born in 1966, Debbie lived in Weyburn until moving to Regina at age 8. She certainly considers this her home! Debbie's hobbies are mostly art-related: primarily drawing and making miniature crafts. She also enjoys playing guitar. Debbie desires to live a life of sobriety, and her goals for the future are simple – to stay out of trouble! :-)

Glenda grew up in Fort Quappelle and moved to Regina in 2007 in need of better housing. Glenda loves to volunteer at IMCF, she enjoys childcare work and volunteering in the kitchen. Glenda has two young daughters and one of her goals this year is to have them move home with her permanently. Her greatest challenge is physical; she was in a bad car accident and is still recovering from her injuries which include her back and arm.

Catherine grew up on a farm outside of Cutknife, her family moved around a lot when growing up and she never thought she’d find a place that felt like home until she moved to Regina. Catherine has lived in Regina for the past 25 years and is now 55 years old. She is extremely creative and expresses it in her painting, quilting and crochet. Some of her current needs are financial and physical, she has a foot injury which has limited her mobility. She has a kind heart and loves doing things for others and has been a part of the Good News Chapel for awhile. Her Wish List: wool for her crafts/croching, electric blanket and any old VHS movies (classic ones are best)

Shelby is a fun-loving, energetic 11-year-old. She was born and raised in Regina. She loves playing piano and running. Shelby is very musical and enjoys many different instruments. One of her many dreams is to one day be a professional piano player.

Anita is a loving grandmother who intends to spend the rest of her life taking care of her grandchildren. Having grown up in the Muscowpetung First Nation Reserve, she moved to Regina with her family in 1998. As a result of complications from diabetes binding to a wheelchair, she is receiving full time care from her husband. Anita enjoys a variety of activities including cooking, sewing and beading.

Born in 1977, Corinna grew up in Lloydminster, relocating to Regina for family. She would describe her main interests as spirituality, painting, and photography. She explains that some of her current challenges involve finding affordable housing and taking care of her son. In the future, she hopes to pursue further education that might better position her for a successful career. Her gift requests include a couple for herself and a couple for her son.

Roxanne grew up in Radville, but moved to Regina to be nearer her sister. One aspect of Regina living that she enjoys is the theatre groups she's able to be a part of through mental health. Roxanne enjoys knitting, and she is very skilled at knitting all sorts of things: toques, dish cloths, ornaments and picture frames. Currently, Roxanne is challenged by the fact that there are bed bugs in the place she is living. She is also having to deal with some difficult people. In the future, Roxanne hopes to one day be married. For Christmas, Roxanne request black or white socks, a purple backpack, and a pay-as-you-go phone card ("has to be chatr - you get them from 7-11"). Roxanne would also appreciate wool for her knitting, and especially of the colour white, and red and green together.

Dawn has lived her entire life in Regina. She draws pleasure from cooking and music, while her daughters love sports and movies and reading. Dawn strives to be the best parent possible but confesses that financial limitations makes life tough. She longs to see her family function as lovingly and closely as possible. This brother and sister have lived in Regina the entire lives and continue to grow. Ricky enjoys playing with Lego and remote control cars, while Courtney is into Barbies. Between them, they possess both athletic and artistic (music) skills. They currently wish they were able to spend more time with their father, and they imagine a future where they might receive equal visiting time with both of their parents.

Jacqueline grew up on the Okanese First Nation Reserve. Jacqueline moved to Regina 8 years ago for love and family, and she has 3 beautiful children. She loves walking and making her house a home. She is presently working at overcoming a drug addiction and looking to improve herself by finishing school and getting a steady job. Her Christmas Wish List includes presents for her three daughters.

This family of 11 includes nine children, ranging from age 16 to 5 months. They and their parents have lived in Regina all their lives. Between five boys and four girls, and over 16 years of spacing, the interest in this household are diverse: Art and music, hockey, Pokémon, cars and trucks and dolls! Mom and dad take pride in describing their children as polite, well-mannered, and helpful. As might be expected, finances are source of stress for this family, and meeting basic needs is a regular challenge. A gift idea for each child is provided below.
