Many of our tenants do not have families to go home to this Christmas; but we have our own little “family” here at the Lion Hotel and any support however small would go a long way to help.

The Powell Street Getaway (formerly the Living Room) Drop-in
The LivingRoom Drop In was opened in 1993 to provide a welcoming and safe hang-out for people with mental disabilities. Located at 528 Powell Street, it is a large bright and safe space for people to come to.
In 2017 the LivingRoom changed to be an All Inclusive Drop-in and with that changed the name to Powell Street Getaway. We are also a Supervised Consumption Site.
Powell Street Getaway offers a variety of structured and unstructured programs to encourage participation of people, particularly those who are not already involved with any other formal program. We offer our people opportunities through our Peer Programs and have had many successes from this.
